Dear Neighbor,
During the past 4 years on City Council, and this year as Mayor, I’ve fought for the Palo Alto that we want to live in, and we:
- cut the ribbon on affordable and transitional housing projects;
- launched our electric grid modernization program and kept electricity prices below PG&E’s;
- built an innovative living levee to adapt to sea level rise;
- opened a new public safety building and a downtown community center;
- issued the Bike & Pedestrian 10-year plan;
- and held the city’s first Pride festival!
And in this age of electrification, I ensure that Palo Alto’s city-owned electric utility can meet our growing needs by serving on the Board of the Northern California Power Agency.
We have more work to do. I’ll draw on experience from my first term to find smart solutions, and from my federal mediation practice to help Palo Alto get to “yes”.
I would be honored to stay on the job!

Vicki’s Second Term Priorities
Thoughtful New Housing
- Incentivize housing affordable for Palo Alto workers and families
- Improve ADU options
- Plan safe neighborhoods with schools, shopping, transit, and parks
Climate and Sustainability
- Promote building electrification and increase EV charging options to speed reduction of greenhouse gas emissions
- Modernize our aging electric grid
Exceptional City Services
- Promote well-staffed Police and Fire departments
- Protect Parks and Open Space
- Champion Libraries
